Please follow these guidelines prior to your Sculptra treatment.

Avoid Blood Thinners

To minimize bruising, avoid the following 7–10 days before treatment unless prescribed by your physician:

• Aspirin
• Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
• Naproxen (Aleve)
• Vitamin E
• Fish Oil / Omega-3 supplements
• Gingko Biloba
• Ginseng
• John’s Wort
• Other NSAIDs
  
  

Avoid Alcohol

Avoid alcohol 48–72 hours before treatment, as it may increase bruising.

Arnica (Optional)

Arnica supplements may be started 3 days prior to treatment to help reduce bruising and swelling, unless contraindicated by your physician.

Avoid Dental Work

Avoid dental procedures or cleanings 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after treatment.

Eat Before Your Appointment

Please eat and drink prior to your appointment to reduce the risk of lightheadedness.

Reschedule If Necessary

Please notify our office to reschedule if you have:

• Active cold sores
• Skin infections or rashes in the treatment area
• Recent illness
• Recent facial surgery or procedures
